B-Cubed’s Hackathon – “Hacking Biodiversity Data Cubes for Policy” – concluded successfully on 5 April in Brussels. The event marked a significant milestone in the use of data cubes for enhancing biodiversity data analysis and policy-making. Over four days, participants from diverse backgrounds collaborated to explore innovative solutions aimed at standardising and improving the accessibility of biodiversity data.

Researchers from 14 countries will meet in Nukus, Uzbekistan, from April 15-22, 2024 for the second Central Asian Dust Conference. The conference is organized in a hybrid format: Of the more than 80 researchers, around 30 will participate online and discuss more than 50 submitted papers. Nukus is the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan in Uzbekistan, lies south of the former Aral Sea and is frequently affected by intense dust events. The "Central Asian DUst Conference (CADUC-2)" is organized by the Karakalpak State University Nukus, the Hydrometeorology Scientific Research Institute (HMRI) Uzbekistan, the Leibniz Institute for Tropospheric Research (TROPOS) and the Philipps University Marburg. Five years ago, more than 80 researchers also met in the Tajik capital Dushanbe for the first Central Asian Dust Conference CADUC. CADUC-2 continues this tradition.

After hosting two successful ESG conferences last year, the International ESG Association is co-organizing the 7^th Global Conference: ESG Management & Sustainability in Indonesia, along with the Center for Environmental, Social, and Governance Studies, Universitas Airlangga, the APRU Sustainable Waste Management Program, and Korea University’s ESG Institute. Bone and musculoskeletal disease researchers and physicians from around the world will meet today in London, UK for the opening of the largest scientific event in the field, the World Congress on Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases (WCO-IOF-ESCEO 2024). The joint Congress of the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis (ESCEO) and the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) will showcase new clinical research from 1507 submitted abstracts, with a broad scientific programme comprising 10 plenary lectures, 14 Meet-The-Expert sessions, and 7 special and joint symposia, and 41 non-sponsored symposia.
