Congratulations to the following outstanding journalists who received the 2010 AAAS-EurekAlert! Fellowships for International Science Reporters from Northern Africa, in collaboration with the National Association of Science Writers, under its partnership with the Arab Science Journalists Association. By recognizing these accomplished North African science journalists, the fellowships are intended to help support excellence in science communications worldwide.

Nadia El-Awady

World Federation of Science Journalists | Egypt

Nadia El-Awady is the president of the World Federation of Science Journalists and the past president of the Arab Science Journalists Association. She is the Egypt country director of the International Center for Journalists and a lecturer of online journalism at the Al-Ahram Canadian University in Cairo. Nadia also freelances with international media. She is the proud mother of four beautiful children.

 

 

 

Dalia Abdel Salam El Dessouky

El Dostor | Egypt

A journalist with El Dostor newspaper in Egypt, Nadia has been covering science and environment topics for five years. She is currently finishing a master's degree in science journalism and mass communication at Cairo University. Nadia is a member of the Arab Association for Science Journalists (ASJA).
