Safety is an eternal theme of mankind. With the continuous progress of society, people's demand for safety continues to grow, and their expectations for improving emergency response capabilities are also increasing. Public safety and emergency management capabilities have become an important cornerstone of a modern country. Safety and Emergency Science is China's first international academic journal focusing on the field of safety and emergency science and technology. The journal focuses on mine safety, chemical safety, fire safety, traffic safety, marine safety, power grid safety, underground space safety, occupational safety, production safety, clean energy safety, industrial chain safety, infrastructure safety, safety planning, accident emergency, disaster emergency, emergency evacuation, emergency disposal, international rescue of natural disasters, emergency policies and regulations, and the application of artificial intelligence in safety and emergency. It especially encourages interdisciplinary research covering the entire process of pre-disaster prevention, monitoring and early warning, emergency rescue, and recovery and reconstruction, providing a bridge for theoretical innovation and practical transformation for scientists, engineers and policymakers.
The journal has formed an international editorial team, and the inaugural issue focuses on hot topics such as "Smart Emergency Response" and "Urban Safety Risk Assessment". As China's emergency management system continues to improve, the launch of Safety Emergency Science will become one of the important milestones in China's transformation from a participant to a rule maker in the field of global security governance.
