Distribution of coronary arteries in fish, frogs and mice. (IMAGE)
Caption
These microscopic, confocal images of a zebrafish heart, and histological slices of frog (Hyla japonica) and mouse hearts, show the different locations of the branching points of coronary arteries: in the gill artery of the fish, in the carotid artery around the throat of the frog, and close to the heart of the mouse.
