Two lidar devices are currently in operation at OSCM in the port of Mindelo: the National Observatory of Athens (NOA) measures with EVE from the ground (center) and TROPOS with PollyXT from the roof (right). The special technology was set up on the Cape Verde Islands to measure Saharan dust in June/July during the peak season and thus support the "Aeolus Tropical Atlantic Campaign."
