In support of ESA's Aeolus wind satellite, the Leibniz Institute for Tropospheric Research (TROPOS) has now installed a lidar on the roof of the Ocean Science Centre Mindelo (OSCM) in Mindelo, the second largest city in Cabo Verde. The OSCM is a joint cooperation of GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel and the National Marine Research Institute of the Republic of Cabo Verde - Instituto do Mar (IMar).
