A Comparison of Photostability of PREX 710 and Alexa Fluor 647 (Cyanine Dye) using Single Molecule F (IMAGE)
Caption
Fluorescent dyes were conjugated to NeutrAvidin immobilized on a biotinylated glass surface. Each bright spot indicates a fluorescence signal from a single molecule. In the coverslip with Alexa Fluor 647, half of the signals disappear within 20 seconds. On the other hand, the coverslip with PREX 710 retains 80 percent of the signals even after 2 minutes.
