Mountain and valley near G.B. Schley Fjord, North Greenland: researchers found a strange limestone in a 400 meter high mountain. The 150 metre thick brachiopod coquina is shown in yellow. Note the geologist camp for scale of mountain. At the bottom left is an inserted view showing how the rock appears in close-up. White areas in the dark limestone are brachiopod shells.
