Ohio Chancellor John Carey (right) and Thomas Beck, chair of the Ohio Supercomputer Center's Statewide Users Group, unveil the HP/Intel Ruby Cluster name plate. The new supercomputer cluster honors Ohio-born actress, author and activist Ruby Dee. The system employs 4,800 processor cores and is estimated to be capable of 144 TeraFLOPS, tech-speak for 144 trillion calculations per second.
