Desert Tortoise Habitat is Facing Threats by Development, Highways, Power Lines and Invasive Grasses (IMAGE)
Caption
Tortoise habitat in the Mojave Desert is negatively affected by power lines, development, highways and changes across the landscape. Red brome and Mediterranean grass are invasive grasses in the Southwest. A diet of red brome is bad for little tortoises and their survivorship is low.
