Pernilla Wittung-Stafshede is Professor at the Department of Biology and Biological Engineering at Chalmers. Her research centres around protein biophysics, with current focus on mechanisms of copper transport proteins and cross-reactivity in amyloid formation. She has been awarded the Göran Gustafsson prize in Chemistry and is a member of The Royal Swedish Academy of the Sciences (KVA) and the Nobel Prize Committee for Chemistry. She currently heads the Genie initiative at Chalmers.
