Professor Kourosh Kalantar-zadeh, from the Centre for Advanced Electronics and Sensors at RMIT, leads a team that has developed a smart pill that can detect gases in the gut and send the data to a mobile phone. He is the lead investigator of research into the first animal trials of the pills, which examined the impact of high and low fiber diets on the gut.
