New Armored Lizard Discovered in Angola

A new species of armored lizard was discovered in the arid lowlands of Angola this year. Scientists used revolutionary imaging techniques to reveal information about the lizard's uniquely armored body. The lizard is one of 133 new species described by the California Academy of Sciences in 2016.
