Casey Owens, professor of poultry processing and products for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, was a co-author of a study by the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station, that improved the detection of woody breast chicken meat by 10 percent using a new machine learning model to analyze images of the defective meat with a hyperspectral imaging camera.
