Dongyi Wang, assistant professor of biological and agricultural engineering for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, led research to develop a new machine learning model to anaylze data developed by a hyperspectral camera for detecing woody breast chicken meat, a $200 million problem for the U.S. poultry industry. Wang conducts research with the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station.
