The dual-regulator control is consistent with MTPA control, allowing for stable and smooth switching between the two control strategies. The most widely used method is the d-axis current regulation method [58]-[60]. As shown in Fig. 2(a), the d-axis current, which weakens the permanent magnetic flux, is obtained by a PI controller.
