Animation - whale migration (avoidance) (VIDEO) University of Melbourne This video is under embargo. Please login to access this video. Caption This is whale migration in a future ocean soundscape, where the major contribution to underwater noise is from shipping activity. Here this activity is creating regions that whales want to avoid due to the high levels of noise. We can see that the whales tend to be located in regions of lower noise (darker blue), and end up trapped behind a wall of noise at the end of the simulation.
