Animation - whale migration (Confusion) (VIDEO) University of Melbourne This video is under embargo. Please login to access this video. Caption This is whale migration in a future ocean soundscape, where the major contribution to underwater noise is from shipping activity. Here this activity is (significantly) disrupting the ability of the whales to detect the cue that orients them toward their destination. We see the migration patterns are more variable, and a more significant reduction in the effective migration speed.
