Narrow-beam walking performance of sham- and LD X-ray irradiated mice after cortical stab wound injury. The sham-irradiated mice took longer to transverse the narrow beam and had a large number of foot slips, indicating reduced muscular coordination and balance (top panel). Noticeably, LD X-ray irradiated mice were able to cross the narrow beam successfully with a low number of foot slip errors even on the day after TBI (bottom panel).
