The young field of cancer neuroscience studies the recently discovered interaction between cancer and the nervous system, both central (the brain) and peripheral. It is such a novel area that Caroline Dive, from the Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute, admits she was unaware of it before co-organizing this congress.
