image: These specimens were collected and labelled on the second voyage of the HMS Beagle (1831 -1836) that carried Darwin to the Galapagos Islands. Researchers say these famously diverse finches are an iconic example of rapid speciation in a tropical hotspot. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Feb. 6th, 2019, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by J.
