Two scientists at the Medical College of Georgia at Georgia Regents University are contributors to the third edition of the textbook, "Pediatric Hypertension."
Dr. Gregory Harshfield, Director of the Georgia Prevention Center in the GRU Institute of Pubic and Preventive Health, co-authored the chapter, Stress and Salt Sensitivity in Childhood Hypertension, in the 38-chapter edition.
Dr. Xiaoling Wang, genetic epidemiologist at the Center, co-authored Familial Aggregation of Blood Pressure.
The comprehensive text, published by Humana Press, is a resource for clinicians and scientists interested in the condition, which is increasing in incidence, primarily because of obesity.
