video: Movie showing two mouse littermates; one carries mutation in the Slc12a2 gene and the other is a normal control. The mouse carrying the mutation is hyperactive due to an inner ear defect. This video relates to a paper that appeared in the 6 September, 2013, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by Michelle W. Antoine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY, and colleagues was titled, "A Causative Link Between Inner Ear Defects and Long-Term Striatal Dysfunction." view more
