NASA Sees Bezymianny Volcano Emit a Plume of Steam

image: Bezymianny Volcano emitted a plume of steam and other volcanic gases from its large and growing lava dome on April 5, 2013. It is one of several erupting volcanoes on the Kamchatka Peninsula, in the Russian far east. This image was acquired by the Advanced Land Imager (ALI) on the Earth Observing-1 (EO-1) satellite.
