Neural Networks Can Solve Physics Problems Without Knowing Physics (2 of 3)

image: Artificial Intelligence is used to inverse design nanoparticles to emit particular spectra of colors. Here, a neural network is shown binding between the emitted spectra (the desired colors), and the nanoparticle that is emitting these spectra. This is the process used in the research: a neural network generates the spectra based on teh particle's geometry. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the 01 June 2018, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by J. Peurifoy at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, and colleagues was titled, "Nanophotonic particle simulation and inverse design using artificial neural networks." view more
