Following the Ice 2012

video: For three months in the spring and summer of 2012, MIT/WHOI Joint Program graduate student Ben Linhoff and University of Edinburgh graduate student Andrew Tedstone camped at the foot of Leverett Glacier in western Greenland. Their goal was to study the melt processes that contribute to the movement of the glacier. Their stay also happened to coincide with record heat for that part of Greenland. As a result, they were able to witness and document one of the most active melt seasons ever seen.
