video: Perfusion of a FRESH printed coronary arterial tree is shown. A coronary arterial tree FRESH printed in alginate was mounted in a perfusion fixture and injected with dye to demonstrate manifold structure under flow. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Oct. 23, 2015, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by T.J. Hinton at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, and colleagues was titled, "Three-dimensional printing of complex biological structures by freeform reversible embedding of suspended hydrogels." view more
