Uniform Metal Nanostructures with Long-Range Order via Three-Step Hierarchical Self-Assembly

image: A recipe for the realization of macroscopic arrays of uniform metal nanostructures: A three-step self-assembly process allows the growth of various nanostructures of scalable lateral size including dots, antidots, and wires. The novel bottom-up approach offers intriguing possibilities of nanostructure fabrication and characterization in science and technology. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Nov. 6, 2015, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by D.J. Erb at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) in Hamburg, Germany, and colleagues was titled, "Uniform metal nanostructures with long-range order via three-step hierarchical self-assembly." view more
