Academic 'Gender Gap' Similar in US, India

Academically talented girls in the United States are narrowing the gap with their male counterparts in math achievement, and surpass boys in language performance, according to new research from the Duke Talent Identification Program (TIP). Among similarly talented youth in India however, boys hold an overwhelming advantage in math performance, while the females hold a similar advantage in language. In both the US and India, academically talented boys perform better than girls in science.
