2015年6月2日，統計数理研究所はベトナムの森林開発企画研究所 (FIPI) とのMOU (Memorandum of Understanding) を締結しました。このMOUには，リスク解析戦略研究センターを中心とするNOE型の研究活動に関連する事項も記載されており，リスク科学NOEのASEAN諸国との連携拡大への期待も大きく込められています。

当日は，統計数理研究所所長室において調印式が行われ，森林開発企画研究所 (FIPI) からは所長のDr. Nguyen Nghia Bienが来所され，統計数理研究所からは樋口所長，伊藤副所長（NOE推進室長），山下リスク解析戦略研究センター長，吉本教授が出席。両所長が書面にサインして相互にMOUを取り交わすことで，無事調印が完了しました。その後，両研究所長同士，記念品の交換を行いました。

調印式に引き続き，Dr. Bienは樋口所長からの統計数理研究所の研究活動の概要の説明を受け，その後，出席者全員で，今後の連携に係る意見交換が行われました。
