对从1990年到2018年的60个北美站点的长期花粉数据的一项研究发现，花粉季节已经延长了20天，而花粉浓度在这一时期已经增加了21%，人类活动造成的气候变化很可能是花粉季节延长的主要驱动因素，也是花粉浓度增加的一个重要驱动因素。
