Okayama University of Science (OUS) has been ranked in the 1001+ category in the “THE World University Rankings by Subject 2025,” published on January 22 by Times Higher Education (THE), a UK-based publication specializing in higher education. These rankings evaluate research excellence across 11 subject areas, including Physical Sciences and Life Sciences. OUS has been recognized in both categories.
This year’s rankings included 1,447 universities in the Physical Sciences category and 1,143 universities in the Life Sciences category. Globally, OUS placed in the 1001+ category for both subjects. Nationally, the university tied 18 in Physical Sciences and 45 in Life Sciences.
