Jung studying long-term care for people with dementia

Jeah Jung, Professor, Health Administration and Policy, College of Public Health, is studying long-term care integration for dually eligible individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.                                                                                                                         

Jung will collaborate with Dr. Hyunjee Kim at Oregon Health Sciences University and other co-investigators to examine the effect of integrating medical services with long-term care through Medicare Advantage (MA) plans on health outcomes for dually eligible beneficiaries.

Jung will provide her expertise on MA encounter data to the team. She will collaborate on developing model specifications, interpreting the study findings, and discussing policy implications. 

Additionally, Jung will participate in writing peer-reviewed manuscripts and engage in activities to disseminate the preliminary results from the analyses. 

Jung received funding from Oregon Health Sciences University on a five-year subaward from the National Institutes of Health for this research. Funding for the first year is $42,431 and it began in June 2024 and will end in late Feb. 2025.
