Evanston, IL – Registration and abstract submission are open for the ISSCR 2025 Annual Meeting, where academic and industry innovators in stem cell science and regenerative medicine will gather for The Global Stem Cell Event 11-14 June in Hong Kong for the first time in the ISSCR’s history. The ISSCR extends its thanks to co-sponsors The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology for their support of the meeting.

ISSCR 2025 is poised to be the incubator for stem cell scientists to leverage collaboration and integration across model systems, approaches, and translation, embracing breadth and inclusion throughout all aspects of the scientific program.

The program leadership and speakers span diverse areas of stem cell research and represent 22 countries and a broad diversity of geographic locations, covering North America, Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, and Africa. Of invited speakers, 70 percent are first-time ISSCR speakers – giving voice to the most original and creative talents worldwide.

The breadth of the ISSCR 2025 Annual Meeting program includes 16 tissue types: Cardiac, Skin, Gut, Lung, Germline, Early Embryo, Hematopoietic, Immune, Endothelial, Kidney, Liver, Adipose, Connective Tissue, Musculoskeletal, Neural, and Pancreas. Further, the program highlights 11 model systems: primate, planaria, drosophila, mice, human, microbiome, zebrafish, axolotl, pig, marine animal botryllus, and platynereis. There is something for everyone in the stem cell research community in this program.

Scientists are invited to submit an abstract by 21 January 2025 for the opportunity to be selected for an oral presentation and to qualify for Travel and Merit Awards. Late-breaking abstracts will be open from 12 February 2025 through 19 March 2025 and will only be considered for poster presentations.

Special registration pricing is set aside for ISSCR members who live in a country considered by the World Bank to be low or low-mid income — up to 50% lower than published rates for in-person registration. Virtual registration is available to low and low-mid income ISSCR members for no cost. Further, ISSCR has designed a Registration+ option to allow scientists to join the Society and register for the meeting all at once – streamlining access to preferred registration pricing.

Journalists are encouraged to apply for media credentials in order to receive complementary access to the meeting.
