The 15th International Conference on Skin Ageing & Challenges is set to convene from November 7 to 8, 2024, at the Corinthia Palace in Malta. Researchers, scientists, and industry professionals will gather to explore the latest advancements and future prospects in skin ageing research.
Skin Ageing & Challenges 2024: Today & Future Insights
The scientific committee stated: “We must focus on addressing aging in every aspect, merging various strategies to comprehend the underlying processes that lead to skin changes and determining methods to counteract them”.
Professor Jean Krutmann, the president, shares the scientific board enthusiasm: "The complexity of skin aging is undeniable, yet through interdisciplinary collaboration, we are achieving remarkable progress”.
Agenda at A Glance
Tuesday, November 5, 2024
The conference begins with a keynote presentation providing insights into the current state and future direction of skin ageing research. Advances in skin ageing will then be discussed. Speakers will cover topics such as cellular senescence, oxidative stress, environmental influences, hydrocarbon receptors, and olfactory receptors. The role of the skin microbiome in ageing will also be discussed, focusing on diversity, modulation strategies, and therapies.
Wednesday, November 6, 2024
Anticipated discussions will explore emerging trends in skin aging including exosomes, circadian rhythm, stem cells, senolytics, artificial intelligence, wearable technology, advanced imaging, and breakthroughs in skin engineering. The second half of the day will highlight efforts to bridge academic research with industrial applications to address the challenges in translating scientific discoveries into practical solutions.
Skin Ageing & Challenges 2024 Awards will be distributed and recognition will be given to outstanding contributions in the field of skin ageing research.
