Innovative Approaches at Targeting Mitochondria 2024
Volkmar Weissig, the society's president, and Marvin Edeas, founder and chairman of the Scientific Board, are gearing up to guide Targeting Mitochondria 2024 toward groundbreaking and non-traditional strategies. They emphasize the conference's focus on "Emerging Trends and Strategies in Mitochondrial Research."
According to them, the conference will explore cutting-edge topics such as mitochondrial transplantation, exosomes, extracellular vesicles, leveraging artificial intelligence in research, the intricate interaction between mitochondria and microbiota, the significance of mitochondria in photomedicine, among other subjects.
What’s on the Agenda?
October 29: Kicking off with a Mitochondria Workshop led by Dr. Naïg Gueguen of the MitoVasc Institute at Angers University Hospital Center, France, focusing on mitochondrial function assessment.
October 30: Features a keynote presentation and sessions on mitochondrial dynamics in health and disease, along with discussions on evaluation and quality control in mitochondrial function.
October 31: Concludes with insightful sessions on mitochondrial medicine, spotlighting 2024's emerging trends and practical applications, including transplantation and pharmaceutical strategies.
