Leaves of mutant plants with only small amounts of MGT10 protein (IMAGE)
Caption
Leaves of mutant plants with only small amounts of MGT10 protein have yellow leaf veins (top image), indicating disturbance in the formation of chloroplasts and chlorophyll in these regions of the leaves. Electron microscopic image show normal chloroplasts (bottom image, white arrow) and special plastids with a very large grana and few other internal membranes (bottom image, red arrow). Scale bar: 1 micrometer. (Source: Dukic et al. 2023, doi: 10.3389/fpls.2023.1221436).
