This schematic shows waveforms of membrane potential (black), calcium ions (red), GCaMP6s fluorescence (green) and jGCaMP8f fluorescence (blue) in a cortical pyramidal neuron following a single action potential. jGCaMP8f follows the calcium ions much more closely than GCaMP6s.
