Summer (JJA) geopotential height (unit: gpm) and wind anomaly spatial pattern (unit: m•s-1) at 500 hPa. (IMAGE)
Caption
(a), (d) Strong solar radiation period; (b), (e) weak solar radiation period; (c), (f) difference spatial pattern between strong and weak solar radiation periods. The vector represents the wind spatial pattern, the shading area is the anomaly value of the geopotential height at 500 hPa, and the dotted area represents the area where the 500 hPa geopotential height spatial pattern difference has passed the 90% significance test. The data used in ((a)–(c)) is the CESM-LME AF experimental data, and ((d)–(f))) is the CESM-LME SSI experimental data.
