Rare large mirabilite crystals (sodium sulfate) up to 50 cm long observed in the Nébélé Cave provide a fingerprint of the sulfur isotopes left behind by sulfuric acid weathering of the limestone that the caves formed within (credit: Dimitri Laurent). The length of the photo is 1 meter.
