Visualization of cisplatin-induced necroptosis in proximal tubular epithelial cells. (IMAGE)
Caption
Eight- to twelve-week-old SMART Tg mice were treated with 20 mg/kg cisplatin. On Day 2, the left-side kidneys of cisplatin-treated mice were observed with two-photon excitation microscopy. FRET/CFP responses are color-coded according to the color scales. Scale bars, 50 μm. Dotted white lines indicate proximal tubule lumens. White arrowheads indicate cells that underwent necroptosis, which were identified by increased FRET/CFP ratios.
