Protein Folding Video (VIDEO) DOE/SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory This video is under embargo. Please login to access this video. Caption This animation gives a 3D view of a finished, folded tubulin molecule that’s still attached to two subunits of a cellular machine called TRiC. A landmark study by researchers at SLAC and Stanford revealed that the inner walls of the TRiC chamber actively direct the folding of TRiC into its final, active form. The results challenge a 70-year-old theory and have profound implications for treating diseases linked to protein misfolding.
