The images demonstrate micro-CT reconstructions of a bone defect that has been filled with new bone following the hydrogel implantation. The bottom images demonstrate a bone defect without treatment. The defect was only partially filled with new bone and the new bone was thin compared to the bone formed following the hydrogel.
