Temporal association between myocardial ischemia, early revascularization and survival (IMAGE)
Caption
The association between coronary revascularization versus medical therapy with ischemia and all-cause mortality is shown for three temporal periods: 1998-2002, 2003-2008, and 2009-2017. As the percentage of myocardial ischemia during baseline stress testing increased, coronary revascularization was associated with progressively greater survival versus medical therapy. The findings were consistent among patients studied over two decades.
