This is the time intervals (mean ± sd) under different chilling conditions for Populus tomentosa (A-C) and Amygdalus trilobal (D-F). Time intervals refer to the time differences between two phenophases, including flower expansion duration (ΔFL-FB), leaf expansion duration (ΔLU-LB) and time between flowering and leaf unfolding (ΔLU-FL). Chilling treatments include low and high chilling duration (Clow and Chigh). The asterisk indicates significant difference between the chilling treatments at P < 0.05 level and ns refers to nonsignificant difference at P > 0.10 level
