On the left, it showed the spatial distribution of the clean cooking energy source fraction across the country in 2017. The fractions in Southeastern China were significantly higher than other regions due to its relatively higher economic level. On the right is the most widely used energy source (coal, biomass or clean energy) for space heating and its time-sharing fraction. In North China, the most widely used fuel in heating was coal. In Southwestern China, it was biomass. Only in several coastal cities in Southeastern China, it was clean energy that the most widely used heating fuel. Note: Data from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan are temporarily unavailable in this study.
