Professor Bruce Anderson from Stellenbosch University has spent many hours doing fieldwork in an area of sandplain fynbos on the West Coast of South Africa, a 45 minute drive from Cape Town, trying to capture the interaction between the long-tubed iris and its enigmatice pollinator, the long-tongue fly.
