Drosophila mojavensis sonorensis Mating (VIDEO)
Caption
The video shows a male and female Drosophila mojavensis sonorensis fly copulating. The courtship song of the male is produced by vibrations of the wings. In this subspecies, females give the male song a higher priority than the presence of a pheromone when choosing a partner.
