The research findings open the door to looking at what epigenetics can offer in the way of crop improvement at a time when climate change is going to be the greatest challenge agricultural scientists will face over the next 20 to 30 years, the researchers say, and when food security will be very much in jeopardy, requiring more soybeans to be produced.
