This Saturniidae family tree highlights how similar hindwing shapes and tails have evolved multiple times across the silk moths. Colored branches mark the four main anti-bat hindwing shapes identified in the study. Red and green denote extra-long tails, yellow indicates short tails, and blue marks elongated hindwing lobes.
